Default Piston Return Springs question

So I did not know where else to post this but I wanted people's opinions on the replacement of the piston return springs in a 1999 4.3L W-code. Has anyone done this? What are the part numbers for these?

The best I could find was this video for doing the job on a Honda.

Last time I tore a 4.3 down, all 6 were gone! It was a pretty high mileage motor though, so it probably burnt them all out.

I've heard that in a pinch you can use mattress springs (apparently the Serta ones are some of the best quality), but they still don't last as long as the original ones...

Yeah, those Serta springs would likely be good but our motors do tend to prefer OEM parts don't they?

I've tried to come up with something cute and funny to say but I can't. I got a real good laugh out of it. Thank you! I can say this, "You get an A+ for originality!" This was a first for me.

An A+ for Christine - Very good laugh!

But you need to know:
Some models have smaller springs which are in the engine block. To check on those you need to remove the oil pan. Normally they are left and right of the rods and connect to the piston pin bosses and somewhere on the block.

P.S. not sure what will happen now when I see the Administrators look...

I've always put the spring under the piston. You know, for more horse power, right?
