I have a 1997 S-10 Blazer two door 4x4 with the 4.3 V-6 and auto trans. I also recently bought a non road worthy 1994 S-10 Blazer four door 4x4 with the 4.3 V-6 and auto trans for a plow that was on it.

I am either going to be scrapping or parting out the 1994 but got to thinking about possibly keeping some of the stuff if it's the same or will work on the 97.

So specifically......does anybody know off hand if the transmission, transfer case and rear axle assembly from the 94 are the same as the 97?

Funny that you never got a reply to this...as it stands 8 years later I am in a similar situation with the donor roles reversed what seeing me to drive the 1994 S10...I have just made a post asking about the some compatibility for the 1997 Blazer...I was excited to see this post...and then quickly disappointed in seeing the date stamp and lack of replies...oh well keep searching!
