Why would you trade your V8 pick up for another V8 (sort of) pick up?
#36
haha true, also considering nice condition el caminos go for $4k, probably not going to do it.

Have you posted your truck up on v8s10.org? (Hope it's OK I mention the site, sorry in advance if that's not cool mods) it's a site dedicated to your truck, so maybe someone will be willing to buy?

With that Elcamino you'd just be back in the same boat you're in now.
Trucks and rods like yours always require more maintenance / tinkering to run right, and then it's up in the air how long it will take before it will need it again.
I built a motor not to long ago, had a 91 Chevy 1500 witha cracked block.
Found a 305HO (I know- boat anchor) Had it board .30 over, flat tops, Lunati cam, SCAT crank, power peak heads, all the bells and whistles.
Every week I had to do something to to it, be it adjust the timing, valves, or adjust the carb.
Mostly these kinda rides are weekend, strip cruising rides, or taken to the track, never meant to see daily duty.
They can however do just that, but I would recommend getting a factory Quadrajet carb, get it tuned correctly, and throw a tool box in the bed..
Just my .02 cents.
