Kinda hard to blame a botched rebuild on GM.... Unless a dealership did the rebuild, which even then, it's not something they do everyday. It takes experience to rebuild these things properly.

Just like rebuilding modern automatic transmissions, swapping motors in a modern vehicle takes experience and attention to detail that many lack. It is very easy to do a swap that, while it may function, doesn't function 100% proper. While the person selling the '98 w/ 350 may be looking for something different, chances are, there is something about the swap that they don't like and haven't been able to fix.

I'm not blaming GM for that. Just saying I could say that Blazers are high maintenance like his buddy's Fords.

When I was in my blazer, I always complained how it waasnt fast or couldnt go through mud good. Now im in a little s10 with a 350, and im not happy. My true happiness is in a 98+ blazer sitting behind a 190hp 4.3L V6. And then down the road some, if i decide going fast is a priority, then a swap can be an option. But for now, I just want to be in a blazer, with cragar wheels, and blasting metal.

LOL. Well I'll trade you my Blazer for you S10 right now... but since the trans may have gone out again, you'd have to trailer it home, haha.

1175 last time for a rebuild with a 30 month/30K warranty.

Possibly. It is at my mechanic now to see if it is indeed the trans. If so, I'm pushing it to the spray and wash to spray the mud out from under it before the trans guy sees it and won't warranty it.
