The quest for a new Blazer (renamed)
Just like rebuilding modern automatic transmissions, swapping motors in a modern vehicle takes experience and attention to detail that many lack. It is very easy to do a swap that, while it may function, doesn't function 100% proper. While the person selling the '98 w/ 350 may be looking for something different, chances are, there is something about the swap that they don't like and haven't been able to fix.
When I was in my blazer, I always complained how it waasnt fast or couldnt go through mud good. Now im in a little s10 with a 350, and im not happy. My true happiness is in a 98+ blazer sitting behind a 190hp 4.3L V6. And then down the road some, if i decide going fast is a priority, then a swap can be an option. But for now, I just want to be in a blazer, with cragar wheels, and blasting metal.
