Default Replaced rear end

And I'm not happy, I blew the rear end on my 01 Xtreme blazer, so my Mechanic is a good guy and saved me a lot of money, we found a rear end from a junk yard for a few hundred bucks, he slapped it in there for me for dirt prices, but now the rear tires stick out and the back sits higher, I'm not happy with the way my truck looks,

The junk yard said that the rear end came off of a 2001 blazer, is that rear and longer?

The axle is probably from a 4x4. I don't know why it would sit higher though, unless the springs got swapped as well.
