RichPorter Tech distributor is aluminum/metal
Just purchased one last night and I can confirm that the base IS NOT PLASTIC! Finally! I've been SAVED! LOL
Anyway, I just wanted to confirm that the RichPorter Technology distributor for the Vortec v6 IS made of metal. No more broken screw holes! Just thought I'd post this, as all my research led to unconfirmed reports that it was possibly not plastic. Well it's not. Anyway... Just wanted to let everyone know in case anyone else was wondering like I was.
Got it on a warranty swap on a New Cardone plastic housing distributor that I bought three years ago. They tried to give me a Cardone Reman instead of another new one and I just had them give me the RPT distributor. It wasn't until I picked it up and it was cold to the touch that I realized it was metal/aluminum. I was thrilled! Lol. Anyway. Just wanted to relay my experience and confirm that, so if anyone else searches for that info, they will find this post.
