Didn’t take any photos of the cutting welding or fitting but I welded in new rust repair panels. $70 aside on eBay.

Whenever I see rust it makes me sad.

 

Do you have the link to the repair panels you bought?

 

X2...my son's ZR2 has rust in the same place. Previous owner just kept put body filler over the location. I've looked online for replacement panel but haven't found them yet. I thought I would end up either having to cut them out of a donor vehicle or make them myself. My skills aren't quite there to make them myself...yet.
