Same thing as the Actron, entry level. You gotta break the $1k mark to reach the "enhanced" level. $5K for semi-pro and close to $10K for fully bi-directional.

My buddy had a Solus on loan from a mechanic for a while. That thing was amazing! I swear, I could read the temperature data on the cold french fries under my seat with that thing!

 

One of the most invaluable tools for any blazer, no matter the year... is time. That is the best tool to have.

 

No one can afford time though.

That hub nut is indeed a 35mm. 36 will work though.

 

Snap on Solus is a great DIY scan tool. It has several bi-directional functions, (you can command certain functions in each module). Gets you into each network without getting you into trouble, (will not flash/reprogram the modules). Software update is $1K, available only through Snap on. It does not have to be updated each year, but it does need to have the software level for the year of vehicle you're working on.

 

LOl not sure if I would consider a souls as diy material. Any special hard tools that i may want to pick up?
