Default Service parts prices

Just bought my first blazer and it needs a fulll service and tune up, so following advice from here I've just got some prices for AC Delco stuff from a UK distributor. I want to see how far out of whack these may be with prices over there and if its a lot can anyone reccomend someone over there that can supply Delco stuff and is happy to ship to the UK.

Plugs $15.32 each ($19.15)
Full set of ignition leads $237.14 ($296.43)
Dizzy cap $61.86 (77.33)
rotor arm $12.68 ($15.85)
Air filter $30.12 ($37.65)
Fuel filter $37.66 ($47.08)
Oil filter $13.19 ($16.49)

All plus an additional 20% sales tax which gives the figure in brackets. Can anyone give me an idea of prices over there and if they are much cheaper then who can I buy them from. I may actually have a way of getting them shipped to the UK free via someone who imports regular shipments of stuff so could get them shipped to a US address and then they'lll be shipped on to me by the guy here who does this for his Chevy astro (he imports high end US car stereo equipment into the UK) Do the likes of Jegs and Summit racing sell Delco stuff as I've dealt with them before, if not who can you reccomend?

Thanks
Phil

Hi
Summit has a lot of stuff for our blazers and you should definately check out www.rockauto.com. They have most everything and are reasonably priced.

I just want to say I learned a new term from this thread. Dizzy cap. I'm assuming that's the distributor cap, right?

Are you in Manchester or Lancashire?

And I'm assuming by ignition leads you mean spark plug wires?

Rockauto is an excellent company:

That's in USD btw, so roughly 186.42 GBP. Not sure what the prices you originally listed were, but looks like you were about to get hosed either way.

Yeah, spark plug wires and yes dizzy cap = distributor cap, I'll have you all speaking the queens English before too long, old chaps. Sometimes I forget to speak in American when I type! I buy parts for my 67 C10 which I've had for about eight years from a number of specialists over here and in the USA but I don't think any of them carry AC Delco stuff, just the usual aftermarket parts like MSD, crane etc etc.

I'm in Lancashire, about 20 miles north of Manchester, near Burnley. A friend over here has reccomended Rockauto so I'll be putting an order in with them in the next day or two after I've checked out a local junkyard that has a Blazer in at the minute. AsI need a new window switch assembly as the drivers window switch is screwed and doesn't work (its jammed solid) and the rear wiper has also ceased to wipe, its just makes a noise and sits there and seems to be jammed as you can't move it at all by hand, plus a rear tail light as one is cracked and as I have ABS issues I may as well swipe the wheel sensors at the same time, oh and a spare wheel, and jack etc as mine is missing that too. Damn, more cash!

NGK will give the same performance as AC Delco's so don't be afraid to use them - its like less than HALF the price of the delco's too usually.

That's why I put NGKs in the cart as an example. I've read that GM used NGK stock from the factory in some vehicles as well.

Definitely not re-branded. However, they are very good plugs. They were the only thing I ran in my LS1 Camaro when it was N/A and when it was on the juice.

OP, you are on the right track with RockAuto. Great service and prices.
