Default Shift linkage is rubbing the front drive shaft

I have a 2002 zr2. Just recently my shift linkage started rubbing my front drive shaft. Does anyone know why or how this can happen. I've tried to bend it back away from it but it only helps for a little bit and then it starts back up again. Can someone please explain this to me. Thank you
