What year are we talking about and what engine and what transmission for starters. A little more info sure would help.

alternators are a common thing to go out, fuel pump as well. haven't heard about any big problems with the transmission and the 4.3L goes through anything

sounds almost identical to my blazer with the year motor and miles. Mine runs great and the 4.3 is in my opinion one of the best 6 cyl GM ever made. Also the 4l60e transmission is pretty good. GM put it in alot of stuff including V8 camaro's so if it could hold up to that much more HP than the Blazers I figure their pretty tough.

Some people seem to have problems with the 4 wheel drive after reading a lot of the posts. It always seems (or most of the time anyway) that they inherited the problem from the last person who owned it. Ya think there's a trend here? Actually the 4 wheel drive system isn't that difficult to understand or work on for that matter. I would certainly check all of the fluids in it including the t-case and the front and rear ends. These seem to get neglected.

Guys you have no idea how happy this makes me feel because the explorer my brother has has costed roughly 5 thousand dollars in repairs within 9 months of ownership of the vehicle

ive dont some reading and im already learning about the blazer... sounds like im getting a great truck..

im paying 1800 with 130 thousand miles .. the guy sais its worth 4 grand at dealerships but hes not a dealer lol

1800 takes it home
