Default Speed Limiter/ Governor

Is there any way to bypass the speed limiter/governor that shuts off fuel @ 100MPH?

Might help to know what you are driving...

Get a tune or handheld programmer. Most all of them can remove the speed limiter. You'll just want to make sure that you have the tires under the truck that can handle it.

The Hypertech Power Programmer III doesn't remove the limiter... It only allows you to change it to two or 3 other speeds...

Well, even if the hypertech didn't entirely remove the limiter, it would take it far enough as to make it fairly unreachable on a stock truck.

According to my PP3 manual, the speed limiter options are 110 MPH, 116 MPH, and 128 MPH...

Bone stock, the only one that I thing the Blazer might have trouble with, is the 128 MPH...

For the record, non-SS Camaro's and whatever the one notch down of the Firebird equivalent is, are governed at 128MPH...

W-Body's (Grande Prix, Lumina, Monte Carlo) with the 3.4L TDOHC are governed at 124MPH.

The 100MPH governing is pretty much standard along the trucks and SUV's... With possible exceptions for SS versions

Yup, and its all centered around the speed rating of the tires that the vehicle originally came with from the factory. And I agree that the only one that a stock or mildly modded Blazer would have trouble with is 128mph. And to be honest with you, I think it'd be pretty scary if it could get there!

Although, even with the 30s on, at 100 it's pretty stable, all things considering... though, you don't want to turn much!

I love knowing people with very large plots of land! lol

If you are driving your Blazer that fast, its very dangerous... Why do you want to go over 100 anyway?

......Because ya could. Who knows, maybe its going to be a drag strip blazer or something?Drop it a couple inches and put some good rims and rubber on it and it would be just fine doing a nice clean 120.

It is pretty stock mechanically - just the 4.3 with a K&N filter. I do some long highway trips and it would be nice to be able to hang with the faster cars that typically seem cruise at about 100-110 mph.
