Started my first tune up...

So I started my first tune up today. First step is the spark plug, wire, distributor, and rotor change. I know with my old '94 S-10 I once did a spark plug change in a parking lot. So I decided to ignore all the bitching on this site about the plugs. Ouch, did that hurt. Started by removing the air inlet, from the air box all the way to the intake manifold. Pulled the coolant lines off the heater core, pulled out the air box. Screwed around for almost two hours without even managing to pull the plug wire off off the #1 plug. Finally gave up and pulled the inner fender liner off the driver's side. Got all three plugs and wires on that side changed out in less than two hours. #3 did give me some trouble, but my spark plug socket and a stubby 3/4" box end wrench took care of it in short order.
I'll hit the passenger side tomorrow. Then it's time to flush to coolant (holy crap is my coolant in bad shape). I've got a new fuel filter waiting to be put in as well--trying to postpone the inevitable. My fuel sending unit is already acting crazy any time I drop under half a tank. The fuel pump can't be far behind.
MAF sensor looked pretty clean, though I'll probably touch it up a bit while I've got it out.
Planning to change out the lube in both differentials sometime in the near future.
Also going to drop the transmission pan, replace the filter, and install a transmission cooler.
Installed my receiver hitch yesterday. Need to order a 5 wire flat trailer harness (the boat I'm looking at comes with a trailer with surge brakes). Then I'll be ready to roll.
Any major oversights here?

I wold suggest doing a search on how to do a tune up. Its pretty easy on these cars and shouldn't take more than a hour to change plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.
Basically jack up the front end. Pull of front tires. Then flip up access flaps and go to town!

Finally got around to changing out the fuel filter today. JHC, what a pain. The plastic bracket holding it to the frame rail was such a bi%$#. Fought like crazy to get the old one out. Lubed up the new one with dish detergent. Made it a bit easier.
Flushing the coolant this weekend, changing the oil, and going and taking care of the title and registration.
Down the road I'll be dropping the transmission pan and changing the filter. Both differentials need the lube changed out. I'll probably do the same to the transfer case.

Joe I might be going with a 2" body. Not sure just yet.

You should! If you do I will do the install with you... Ive done it 100x's if Ive done it once... Trying to fit larger tires? If so let me know... ill buy yours!
