I just bought a project. 99 S10 4.3 auto 4X4, The guy I got it from said he lost the ign key and tried it drill it out, long story short he bought a column from a 96 and installed it but could not get it to fire up, the engine would turn but no start. After I got it home I found there is power going to the coil but no spark from the coil. Is there a passlock problem in the 96 column that is causing the coil not to work? Thanks for any help
