I just changed my oil and put in Mobil 1 synthetic. I noticed an immediate difference. The engine was quieter and the idle was smoother. The engine also seemed to run smoother than when I had the regular oil. I was just wondering about anyone elses experience with Mobil 1 or other synthetic oils. Did you experience the same thing I did? I know there are a lot of posts about this, but they all seem pretty old, so I figured I open up a new discussion.

I run Mobil 1 5-30 synthetic in my rigs, makes a big difference. One thing i noticed is if you got any oil leaks they will be worse with synthetic, lol!

I used to run synthetic because i liked throwing money away LOL Seriously it's just one of those things that will always be debated and different people will have different experiences. I was told by a couple of mechnanics that i trust not to run it in regular street vehicles and when i noticed that the thicker regular oil would slow a leak i was sold
