Hey Gang.....not sure where to have posted this but was looking for some input on a 1999 Blazer that im looking at with 141,000 kms (87,000 miles) for about $4,000 in Canada....How good are these 4x4???? Blazer is coming from a very reputable mechanic that i know that he is selling third party for.....any help would be greatly appreciated

 

What are the specs? Two door, four door? good body, rusted? Clean upholersty? Good tires? etc etc..

 

4 door 4x4 4.3(i think) V6 vortec ....A/C, power everything ...good tires ... no visible body rust ...has been professionally detailed inside and inside the engine as well

 

$4000 seems reasonable. I got my 2 door 4x2 with a/c, power everything in great shape for 3500 with 92k. So take in the fact that the one you're looking at is 4x4 4door with less miles I'd say go for it.

Has the mechanic checked it out? and yes, it has a 4.3 if it's a stock motor.

 

yes the mechanic has replaced all pads and rotors and some minor crap that he has written down somewhere.....he seems to feel that its a steal...again he's just a third party ...its just on his lot and the owner isn't him...so as far as being biased ????? who knows

 

Take it to your own mechanic and have him look at it...

 

One thing that's keeping me from jumping on it is all the bad reviews i seem to be reading online....dont seem to find many good ones....that's why i was wondering how the reputation on them is by "actual" blazer owners


he is my usual mechanic as well...thats how i found out about this...lol

Is there anything in particular that i should have him check out on the blazer that may be a re-occuring problem on them before i decide to drop the $$$$
