I would spend the money getting the tow straps. And there's a way you can wrap loops in the cable so it is stronger than crimps we've had to pull bull dozers and skid steers with cable and not 5,000 pound cable this stuff was over and inch thick.

ya they have other straps there that are like cotton/denim type straps for around $70 ish... i dunno if they'd ship to USA but maybe i can (with payment of everything up front) grab some for people interested in them and ship em?

the surplus isles now have some large miligary storage containers for like $100... i aint payin them double what most army surplus places want. also i've scored perfectly good monster cable stuff, typhoon distribution blocks, and the most random thing i've ever found for like $2 each.... red led lighted traffic directing flashlights - they have solid, slow flash and fast flash options for a whole $2 and 2 D batts.... saved my *** a few times at train crossings when i was working at night. stupid drivers not paying attention.....

usually stuff like that is underrated for stuff like "shock loading" i know professional nylon chokers/slings have a safety ratio of 5:1 so if its rated at 10,000lbs its been tested at 50,000lbs and so on.....maybe its not the same for vehicle straps. Ive snapped a 1" choker before right in my face trying to lift a length of 30" diameter pipe lol. I said to my journeyman, "its making some funky noises" his reply "keep givin er!" and snap! i almost crapped my pants
