Default Towing a blazer w/ a blazer ?

I have a stock 01 4 door 4wd Lt and the vehicle in tow is a 00 with about 500 lbs of extra scrap in the back. Sorry to say, it's time to haul it off the crusher.
My question. Is my blazer capable of hauling its fat twin off to certain death? I plan on renting a u haul dolly and have an aftermarket receiver. The route is about 25 miles and reasonably flat.? If so, any suggestions?

Shouldnt have issues. I towed 5800lbs 32 miles in my 91'. Just make sure you run with overdrive off. Also Dont run your ac while towing it. it'll help the motor.

Thanks for the quick replies. Thought it would be good but wanted to ask some opinions. I don't want to haul it off at all, but it was my donor vehicle and it just took a swim in the big flood in upstate NY after being totaled by the Anarchist stop sign lady last spring. It's had a rough life. Time to put her down.

I'm in Sidney. Between Binghamton and Oneonta right off of 88.I don't have the time or resources right now to salvage any parts off of it or I wouldn't even scrap it. Lost most of my tools in the flood.

you should be fine. Ive had a 24ft boat behind mine. Im not sure if uhaul will let you do it with the blazer though. You might have to go there in a fullsize to pick it up if you can.

Yeah it's mine. After the crash I found a clone in blue instead of red.Glad to see you're in the neighborhood and at a higher elevation. I got hammered, but less than a lot of people around here. I lost my basement/garage but not the ground floor.
