Default Trailer hitch install?

So I picked up a trailer hitch from craigslist from a 97 blazer. I got the hitch, the bolts, nuts, and lock washers. But it only had one of them squarish metal reinforcement plates. I was wondering if there is a place online that I can buy just them plates? Would a place like Ace hardware or Pepboys carry something like that? I found a whole replacement kit on etrailer.com but it was $35 bux and comes with everything. Problem is all I need is 5 more of them plates. Any ideas?

Go to a welding/fab shop and have them cut them out for you. Shouldn't cost but a few bucks.

I agree, probably your best bet for the plates.

Coolasice, Its a hidden valley hitch. I am not sure off the top of my head what the model number is. I have downloaded the instruction sheets from a number of diff brands and they are all pretty much the same. from the inside its a bolt and a steel plate, then on other side of frame its a lock washer and the nut.

According to the install instructions you only need 1 steel plate per side for the large hole... find a couple pieces of 1/8"-1/4" steel and drill a hole in it (that is if it is a "valley hitch".... a "hidden hitch" requires 3 per side, one of which is L-shaped)

Oh hell Coolasice, thanks for the link to the valley hitch install. Yea thats the only one i have seen that only used one plate. The Curt, Uhaul, and couple other all had 3 on each side. Looks like I only have to get one more plate. That does make me happy lol Thanks again.
