Default Transfer case front driveshaft not rotating

I have a 04 chevy tahoe that had the service 4wd light sensor came on at the instrument panel and the lights for the 4wd switch wouldnt stay on or let me shift the transfer case at all. I put a code reader on it and it came back as a bad encoder ring. So then I replaced the whole encoder motor. Now the lights on the switch are working and I can hear the encoder motor shifting. Now when it seems to be in 4 hi or 4 low the front output drive shaft won't rotate when i put it into gear to drive. Could you help me try and diagnose what the problem might be now?
