Question Transmission shop recommendation? Near Van. B.C.

Can someone please recommend any transmission shops that they've had good experience with? In the greater Vancouver (Burnaby/New Westminster?) area of B.C. What I'm hoping for, is a shop that will not tell me I need a rebuild, IF there are other, lower cost options (yeah I know.....good freakin' luck). Thanks

A few days ago, it started slipping (equally?) in all forward gears, and no/very-little reverse. But only when cold.
180,000 miles. Fluid is not really bad (half pink, half brown, but not dark). Filter has not been changed in 7 years. Put in a large cooler 7 years ago (by-passes in cold weather). Have on done a 2 partial fluid changes since then (3.5 L).

Stick to the point of the thread. There already is a discussion thread on his symptoms which could have been found with only a few clicks if one were to have looked.

Unhappy

Called Pacific Driveline. John said $3,000 ballpark.
Suggested buying a new truck instead; as mine is 180,000 miles.
I'm dying.
