i have pulled a fellow 96 blazer out of the snow where he was parked. (in Wisconsin when we got 2 feet of snow, plows blocked him in.) this also bent my push bar pretty good.

my friends 91 Buick Rivera out of a ditch cause he took a 15mph curve going 50. had a rope that was about 4 feet long with a hook on one end. had to tie a knot on my push bar and luckily it held up but we had to cut it with a knife cause it got so tight.

and last but not least my 85 Suzuki 185 ALT 3 wheeler

I pulled a 2009 Avalanche out of a rivine in the middle of a cloverleaf for the interstate. Somehow he hit the rock and slid off the road and down he went. Id say he was 75 feet down and the bank was almost impossible to walk on. I backed down to him hooked up a strap and was told, theres no way you can pull this with that. I hit 4LO got it tight and crept out the rivine with him in tow. Damn I love my '95 Blazer. Just thought everyone would enjoy that.

Last night, winched out a 1/2ton with a car hauler with an f150 on it. Today pulled an f150 out and winched out an awd astro. All from the same field. Buddy bought them for scrap. His 2wd truck couldend get in, and I couldent winch out the first f150. It was missing a spindle on the front. so I pulled in his truck and trailer. Loaded the truck (12 000lbs winch on trailer compared to m 8500lbs ) on the trailer, and winched him out( about 60 yards).
Field was about 1' deep snow.
2nd F150 ran, so I just pulled it with a strap (55yards).
Astro had a blown motor, so I winched it (40 yards).

while not an "vehicle", it was still a calculated recovery.

one of many that i've recovered from my Mom's flower gardens (you'd swear her place was built on a quarry). stone was about 42" x 23" x 30" in size.

another reason i like having my winch mounted on a 2" receiver.
