Got into an accident today...
some jackass stopped in the middle of an intersection and it was raining out. i didnt have time to stop. i hit him going about 5mph in his rear passenger area. he was going west i was going south. his car looked fubared. the rear tire was tilted at the top towards the drivers side. i got out to exchange insurance info it turned out to be a mexican who barely spoke english all he kept saying was no worries i pay... over and over when i said i had to call the police for my insurance he hopped in his car and split...
i called the cops took em an hour and a half to show up. as it turned out my damage is pretty minimal. my passenger side headlight housing is shattered and totaled... the bulb still works... amazing huh? the bumper is hosed and my passenger fender is a bit off alignment. other then that all looks good. ill see if i can take some pictures today and put em on photobucket.
ive been driving for about 11 years never even had an accident before.. pisses me off more then anything. i just got a job today. ive been unemployed for a bit so i dont even know if ill be able to buy a new headlight. im hopeing i can score a housing at a junk yard. the whole assembly broke my turn signal was just holding on by its cable. it still works though. i ductaped some plastic over the headlight and taped the turn signal back on. so i can drive it till i can get a new housing...
i also need to replace the grille. that got broken pretty good. but almost all of the damage is cosmetic. so repairs can wait for a bit on 99% of it. hopefully this job will pan out and i can get her fixed up.

my cameras batteries died as soon as i get some more i will post some after photo's.

the parts came to about 30 bucks i got two new headlights. they are sylvana halogens... way nicer then the ones i had. a new gril and new light assembly.
when you look at the photos the rope is the only thing holding the turn signal in and i had the plastic over the headlight becuase it was raining and the bulb still worked so i didnt want it to die. cuz at least then i had two lights turned on. >

dang dude sry to hear that and ya its hard to avoid the stupid drivers out there. but ya 1st gen stuff comes pretty cheap lol which is kinda good cuz we dont have to spend money on all the fancy technology stuff thats for mods lol

and ya my dad hit 2 deer goin 55mph in his suburban and it only cracked the grill a lil bit and broke one of the plastic parts where the turn signal screws in lol chevy's r pretty tough i guess thats y they say "Chevy like a rock" lol

 

yeah. its truly amazing some of the dumb f@$%s on the road... i mean people that swerve into lanes without turn signals are my main problem. another thing ive noticed is people like cruising in my blind spot. the other night i was on i-5 and i guy was in my blind spot for about 10 miles... it was 4am not another car on the road and it was 4 lanes. why the f#^# would you want to cruise in an suv's blind spot. made me nervous as hell. it was pretty windy and i was getting blown around. and i couldnt see him without turning my head... the other thing that drives me nuts is people that park right by stop signs on residental streets. so you have to creep out into the intersection in order to see left and right to make sure no one is coming... i just want to key those people...

sad thing is im a normally laid back dont give a @$%@ kind of guy... but jeeze... all i can say to these people is:

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, I-5 drivers are total idiots...and Everett drivers are worse lol i know i live in Everett....

 

Thats why I've always said I want a HUD with crosshairs and misslelock-ons.... for those times when people cut me off in traffic. LOL
