So, a new compression union, and 7 qts of atf later, and I think she's gonna make it. Only drove around the neighborhood, but it shifts up to third fine, and doesn't appear to be slipping. Stalls around 1500 rpm, so that seems right. I'll get some more miles on it this weekend, and get it up to speed. I ain't trying to mess around and get stranded on a work night lol

Time for a SAS!!!!!!

Don't worry. A 350 swap is on the agenda, and that'll really start breaking stuff. At that point I HAVE to find some tons to slide under there, right?

Glad it was an easy fix. Bummer you had to get it towed though.

My roadside assistance covered the first 15 miles, the remaining 7 only cost me $55, at least

That's why I'm going to get my LS3 swap done first. It'll give me a legitimate reason to put a beefy drive line under the front and rear :D

Are you married? That's how I plan on convincing the wife. "Babe, I can't even take it on a trail without breaking cv joints. I NEED to put tons under this little quarter ton truck!"

If my Cobalt had some attachment point on the rear, I could have flat towed it!

I bet the clutch would be fried in the first five miles lol
