What do you think it is worth?
I have a 99 Chevy blazer I am looking to part was with. It has sat out back for 2 years with a blown head gasket and it is time to go. 80K miles on a Jasper motor. Tranny and rear end were rebuilt within 5k of the engine issue. Tires have less than 5k miles on them as well. It has one major rust spot and no other rust. Door was dropped when doing the bushings in the hinge, so that has a little ding. Inside is in good shape. Seats and carpet look good. I was going to put it on Craigslist this week, but wondered what you guys think I should ask for it. Any input and feedback is appreciated.

Prices are all over the board on these but it does have potential. I have two the same color. One I just bought recently in Austin, Texas with a little over 42,000 original miles 2004. It sat too owner drove it a little over 2,000 miles a year by looking at the car fax but it was high price side. NO rust....

I wouldn't pay more than $300 tops for it and that's only if the interior is basically perfect. There are so many of these things out there and sadly the location of your rust is extremely hard to repair and is going to need a donor vehicle to cut and graft a section from to properly fix it. Then there's the non running motor that needs a complete rebuild at minimum after sitting with a bad head gasket so in my opinion you should post it for $500 and take the first cash offer that comes your way.

But I agree, 300-500.
Unless you want to spend the time to part it out, you could make more that way.

your not gonna buy a replacemant panel for it. have to cut it out a donor and weld it in

Me personally I have not ever had a hard time doing a rust fix. Not a body man, but for my own vehicles. Yes time consuming but not hard...

It's the location of his particular rust that makes it so difficult. It's on the roof and on the edge of it right near the back window not an easy rocker panel or wheel well. The proper fix for his truck would be to pull the entire roof off from the windshield back and replace it with one from a donor because you aren't going to find that panel on a shelf to buy anywhere. You could just cut it back 6" or so from the edge and graft a replacement in there but it would be very hard to get a quality end result doing it that way.
