I've noticed most names have a meaning. Like Bronco is a horse, Impala is a.... deer thing, etc. What's a "Blazer?" The only thing I can think of probably shouldn't be mentioned here, (I'll give you a hint in case the term is a regional thing, it's green and it's smoked haha), and I doubt Chevy meant that in their naming of the vehicle. So what is a "Blazer?"

Can only guess.

Since Blazers come as 4x4`s it might refer to blazing the trail.

It's not 'blazing a doobie' lol
I think it's more like blazing a trail, hence the 3rd gen. - Trail Blazers

My thoughts were always that the Blazer was a vehicle that would "Blaze the way" or go anywhere type of deal. That is why it turned into the Trail Blazer eventually.

The definition of "Blazer" (from dictionary.com) is: something that blazes or shines brightly.

It's certainly a lot easier to define than the Toyota Yaris or the Volkswagen Touareg.

I doubt you found my oldest post. It likely was cleansed in a forum software change or two!
