I'm in Jersey... And, though I work as an "essential worker," Things are rather INSANE!!

About to go take it to get some gas. I don't drive without my vest on. If they ever decide to step up the Gestapo State...

I live pretty close to Yosemite, and it's going the same way. That said, I've been to Yellowstone a couple of times (40 years ago and 10 years ago) and still found it very enjoyable, though I couldn't believe how many more people were there the second time. And it was the "off" season, even.

Yeah I hear ya, just don’t break down while driving through Newark or Camden. For that matter, Paterson and Jersey City are right there too. I haven’t been keeping track, what’s their kill count so far this year?

About 20 years ago I worked for a scientific instrument manufacturer as their Product Specialist for a line of instruments and I did a lot of travelling. One thing I never seemed to be able to get used to was flying into Newark and getting onto the turnpike as I left the airport to go Down the Shore a ways. So many splits and choices which way to go. First time I tried it I went the wrong way and ultimately decided to turn around at Jersey City. That was a real experience. A little road construction and one-ways and I had to go into Jersey City for a few blocks in a new rental car and a suit before getting turned around. Everyone out in the evening and standing around on the street corners but no one would even look at me when I pulled up. It was like I was invisible. I finally got the heck out of there, and to my destination. Later, a local company sales rep who happened to be from Paterson got a huge kick out of my story and explained to me that they thought I was a Narc. Apparently that was the only explanation they could fathom why I would be there.

Also went to do some business at Campbell's in Camden at one point, but that was during the daytime.

I have lived in every one of those cities except for Camden. They stole my car in Newark. I got it back, too . I am traumatized by this dent .

Newark is a High Murder Area and they say it is getting better.. just wait until it gets hot.

Want to see a video of a car doing a burnout in the middle of Elizabeth Ave while the cops just watch?

Oh.. Adjusted my screw today, swapped around some fuses, gassed up regular 87.

Since a week running it regularly for my errands. Back and forth between home and the garage, hauling parts for my restoration project.

I absolutely drove the **** out of it today in and around NYC for at least 4 hours, also on NJ highways.. combination NYC city, NYC highway and NN highway driving (FAST, was almost late to work.) Plus, accidental burnouts due to rain. It runs great!!! Even stayed smooth from a light when I wanted it to... Closer to 8 hours, really, if we are factoring the time parked, idling, being used.

At LEAST 200 miles on it today, closer to.. 260-ish. One full tank of gas. Filled up 11 gallons, got about 12.6 in there at the end of 200 miles.. then drove home, and then to work. Then I drive home again in the morning.. handled the abuse/borderline abuse depending on how you look at it like a champ, including having to act as a racecar in NYC on certain River Parkways and such.. it handles it well and it may be screaming "KEEP ME" at me..
