what i did today...
well after weeks of frustration i finally figured out what was wrong with my headlights...so to start i bought the truck AFTER the front end conversion was done (96---> 04 front) and for the longest time one of my headlights was dimmer then the other and the bright lights where also on at the same time but very faint so i decided to dive into the wiring ... and boy what a mess that was the dude that did the conversion wired the lights in series ........ not parallel i had to cut all the wiring out and redo it from scratch three of the lights (one low beam and the two high beams) where wired together it was back feeding into the circuit he had the hot on two hooked to the ground of the third only one light was wired properly... i mean how can u get this that messed up i have been pulled over twice for a headlight being out when it was on but dimm wish i could go strangle the 300 dollers out of this guys neck for those tickets .... but hey its fixed and i have some really nice and bright lights now
It was a nice high 60s here in the 'Nati, so I did my test packing for the drive back home and everything fits. Thats 6 guitars, a 2x12 sub box, a 75 watt guitar amp, a 100w Peavey head, 2 very large duffel bags, and 4 boxes of my random stuff. Unfortunately I won't be able to get a 4x12 cab like I was hoping, but I can definitely grab one of those Marshall VS100 heads I've been looking for.
Also, I changed my oil with some Royal Purple which is the first time I'll have used it in anything I've driven. 5qt and a AC Delco filter was about 42 and change.
Also been sick with what feels like a sinus infection or a brutal cold, not sure which. It got warm and now I'm sick!!!!

I had 2 small LED strips for my interior that I've been putting off for a while now...was MUCH easier to install than I expected! Put one in the very back of my DIN compartment, and the other one is right under the ashtray, out of view. (Looks pretty pimp at night time, IMO!)
Also had some extra space on my" switchboard", So I put another one on there, maybe to be used in the future (the black switch is the interior LED on/off control, while the red one illuminates, and controls the "LED racing lights" I have installed on the front):
Next order of business: Chrome Altezza(sp?) Tail Lights...LOVE these:

did the trans mount, wheel bearings, and idler arm today..
Got a moog idler arm for 13.00 today. Purchased a low grade 2 years ago for 11.99. it failed. brought it in for exchange and noticed price went up to 30 bucks? I asked the store clerk if he would price match another place who sold there high grade for 29.99(no really,i checked) ,then asked to pay the difference in cost to upgrade. Cost me 1.07 for the moog in difference. Thats what you call using your head! woot.

Finally finished the other switchback. Now, to find a "warm" day without snow to slap them in and get some photos and video, pretty excited for this.
I will be able to say that this will be the only first gen blazer/s10 in the world with switchback bumper lights.... bam!

Installed a 145A alternator today. One of the easiest upgrades I've done. All it took was 20 mins, with everything a simple bolt in. Application I told the parts guy was a 2003 Silverado 1500 with a 4.3 and the optional HD alternator. He asked if it was the 130A, 145A or 250A... The 250A was out of my price range and the 145A was only $30 more than the stock 100A. I told the parts guy that I needed a belt 1" longer, but I think it was 1.5" longer...perfect fit anyway. Pt# 4060970. Doesn't sound like I have a supercharger anymore either!
