I went back to work on my 1993 Jimmy and its leaking transfer case seals. I got the case out and replaced the two output shaft seals. I was unsure of how to proceed with the seal so I left it and posted a pic in the thread I started about it last year.

I'd gladly trade this job with Rich and install his new heater core. Heater cores on the first-gen trucks are pretty easy!

Today gained access to the heater core, and got all the hoses off the radiator (minus the lower tranny line) going to be putting both new in tomorrow, and sucking the coolant from the carpet.

Gotta love that. I remember blowing a heater core back in the day in my '85 Monte Carlo (also an easy job) when it was in the single digits outside. I had THICK WHITE FOG blasting out of the vents, LOL! It was so cold out that I just sat in there breathing that stuff. At least it tastes sweet.

Ended up getting VERY sick. To this day I'm not sure if it was food poisoning, or antifreeze poisoning. Hit me suddenly like a ton of bricks - no energy, puking all night. Miserable. I don't recommend doing that ....

Did nadda thing to mine today. I was at autozone and a guy pulled up with a 2nd gen and it was just a puttin and skipping. He wanted to buy a fuel pump. I used a pressure tester from the store and checked his pressure. Pressures fine.

Upon looking around i checked his spark,it was a faint spark. I asked him if he has ever done a tune up. Guy said "i did plugs once since ive owned this new" truck had like 115k on it. I spent my time and removed the cap/rotor....

dude......notta damn thing left in it....65.00 later he was out the door. I even put the cap on for em. thing purred like a kitty. He asked if i was going to be there for a few minutes. i was like sure? 5 min later he brought me back a thickburger and fries from hardees..

Yea.
