Yeah I had to lay a patch with mine after I fixed it, to confirm the fix ...
Had our first no-start of the season a couple days ago. Heard the wife out there cranking and cranking and cranking ...
Threw my inductive timing light on there to check - no spark. Had a million other things going on, so let the wifey take the Silverado for a couple days. Tossed a spare coil in that I had out of another distributor assembly (HEI) yesterday, and it started right up! Love easy fixes. Took all of 5 minutes.
That's eBay for ya. That coil only lasted 7k miles ... a record speed failure.

"PlastiDipped" one of my rims, to see if I like the black on it. No real prep on it, but looks good from afar. Used 2 coats of PlastiDip. Painted my front and rear bumpers black. After the new fender, I think I'm just going to respray the entire body black.
Black with "Chevy Orange" accents. (Bowtie, calipers, differential cover)

ran it up on ramps to look for a oil leak, changed oil 2 weeks ago and have lost 1/2 qt!, noticed oil stains on the asphalt and oil on the bottom of the pan, Y pipe and trans crossmember. wiped things down and laid underneath with a flashlight looking everywhere with it running, nothing found. im suspecting the adaptor peice for the remote oil filter/cooler. had a issue with that before when the engine was changed. weird to have a intermitant leak. and even odder, it didnt leak at all before this last oil change. and brand/grade/weight of oil has all stayed the same. on a positive note, i had also replaced the oil guage sender, the pressure reading would show a drop at the top of each gear before it shifted. now it stayes pretty steady at 40/60. and yes, i looked and its not leaking there.
got it washed, the winter has taken its tole on the bottom of the drivers door. Looks like I will have to cut and weld in a new patch panel across the whole bottom of the door.
Luckily lmc sells that exact panel for 24 bucks.

I hear that - I posted a few pages back all the rust on ours. Being white, it shows up like a neon sign ...
11° this morning here. It's up to a whopping 16° now. WTF .... the never-ending winter!
