what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
Yeah, that's from my accident last year. I've been wanting to swap a 350tbi in it, which is why I haven't changed it yet. That plans seems to be falling through though, so this will probably get changed soon. Still want to to a small cowl though.
Replaced plugs, cap and rotor. The plugs were a pain in A$$. Especially the number 3 plug. I followed the tech article in this forum which removes the plastic cover off of the rag joint. Slide the orange rubber cover down and turn the steering shaft so the flat sides of the steering shaft are pointed up. I jacked up the car and removed the wheel and was able to get the plug out from the wheel well. Installing was just as much of a pain. I put some tubing over the end of the plug and was able to get it started using the tubing. I was able to tighten the socket on the #3 plug with a wobble extension. I was not able to get the extension fully into the socket but I got it in enough to tighten the plug securely. Once I was done with the plugs I tackled the cap and rotor. This was on my 2000 GMC Jimmy Diamond Edition. I have just over 100K on the odometer and I installed AC Delco Iridium plugs that should be good for a 100k miles.
When the '00 Jimmy was together, I used a spark plug socket, then, lightly inserted an extension - just enough to turn the plug without stripping the drive. I was surprised, but it worked!
Also found that #3 plug to be OEM with over 100k miles on it, LOL - somebody gave up!
