Got a new gear reduction starter. Starts a lot better now, and I don't have to cycle the ignition for the solenoid to actually engage the bendix drive.

 

Wow. Today was a big day for me and my blazer. I sold my 97 blazer, my first car, and before they were even out of my driveway, I went out and bought an 88 blazer. Of course I miss it, but almost everyone misses their first car after they sell it, so I think I'll be fine.

DR244g alt is in, 15.29 volts at idle 15.65 at 2000 rpms. Turned on 10 lights, stereo up loud, and pulled the truck with my winch and the voltage didnt drop one ioda
