So i took the hood and put it on my truck.
Were the hoods a direct fit? They look like it. If I ever come across a black Jimmy hood for cheap I might have to snag it too. I like the lines on the hood.

Changed the rear brake pads, rotors and painted the calipers. Then since it was all jacked up I FINALLY put the 2" shakels on that I had laying around for about 3 months. What a pain in the AZZ to get the bolts out. First after I loosened them they wouldn't slide out, well I fixed that with a can of WD-40 got - love the salt belt. Then I had to chop of the threads because the bolts wouldn't fit passed the gas tank. Glad it was a nice day out today!!

Yes the hoods were a direct replacment. I love the way the GMC hoods look, with the subtle lines. Been looking for one for along time and finaly found one.

I love the sonoma hoods. If I didn't get my goodmark hood I would have def gone with that hood.

Oh yea I washed the truck today to clean off the pollen. But the truck is green again. Thank you mother nature.

Yeah, pics will come. And a brief how-to...ish...thing. Turns out the holes to mount the skids (on my frame anyhow) were already there, just not tapped. It was quite easy. I'm not sure about later model frames

well i got into a car accident yesterday not even a full day after putting on the roof rack other drivers were ok sadly...she took some damage...luckily nothing mechanicao and being it has i have a bf who has more experience with this kinda sht than i care to think its a coool 300$s to replace the fender, hood, inner well wall and i forget what else...but its all easy junk yard stuff, was totally scared after it happened sice it was on what the locals call the "wilkes barre exit death trap" an exit coming off a high way...merging with off mountian traffic VIA a stop sign and the idiot infront of me had no tail lights that i saw and i nailed his plaastic ford focus hatch back lol but he'll end up spending 800$+ repairs...me...300 at most including paint and 1 new amber HIUD driving light...but thats ok...it gives me a chance to built my "b'tch guard" pretty much a huuuge heavy duty bumper about a foot off the frame, made of like 8" thick steel piping lol so if it happens again...i'll be driving away unscathed, just glad nothng mechanical went wrong or id' be royally...fudged lol is a nice way of saying it..but oddly enough...can't figure out why the guy driving freaked out when we asked if hm n his gf we're ok..he's screaming no no i'm in pain..but yet...she was in the ambulance for a bit being worked on, the guy rubbing his shoulder and complaining of a headache...if he was strapped in ...since i WAS only going about 2-3 mph...yah...just a nudge..and all i have is a sore arms and a sore boob from the seat belt tug (sorry on the boob comment lol) but how in the hell did they wach thier heads if they claim they were strapped in...but its being investigated even thoguht i told the cop it was my fault i didn't see him and i saw an oppening in the down hill traffic so i started out and the bf didn't say "car" he said "whoa" which hearing from him doesn't set off any warnings in my head cause he's always yelling stupid sht like that to me.."CAR!" i wouoda slammed on my breaks...but eh....if it goes to court..he's my witness he didn't even see tail lights infront of us all he saw was the same as me...the stop sign and white line. and didn't see the focus until i was right on him...*phew* still glad we're all ok and his car took the beating lol pics of after math in garage album, after the 30 min drive home from it and in the car wash bay for the lighting.
