hey thanks ill deffinitely try that considering i do like the flat black look alot. is it a big pain to take off the whole grill to paint it? or should i just tape off everything including the red GMC letters and the chrome outline?

WTG I'm not sure how it looks because A: pics are blurry (you were shaking with excitement, I know lol) & B: absolutely freaking huge... I have to scroll from the speedo to the tach lol.
I am glad they didn't show up in forum as pics but URL's instead, because after that post all the posts would be that wide.

I'm sure they look good & I'm thinking of getting a new dash bezel & perhaps new lights behind it.

Its not a pain at all. I think it would take you longer to mask everything off than it would to take the screws out. Im not sure what year yours is but my 97 has 4 screws across the top under the hood and like 2 or 3 if I remember right under the grill.

Heres what mine looks like plasti-dipped. I also plasti-dipped the hubcaps on my gfs car because I was bored one day.

Paid off the loan for my (2nd) trans rebuild. Now I get to really look and see where I'm leaking coolant and oil from... (oil is the remote filter housing for sure, coolant is dripping from the same area, not sure if it's a hose or the radiator)
