Don't feel bad - the lightest garbage truck EMPTY is far north of 16 tons - or about 4 of your trucks.

Drove one for 5 years at one point in my life.

The fact that the guys were trying to push the truck was far more amusing than be trying to tow a brick wall.

To be fair the blazer might have had a chance if I wasnt on ice. I mean I didnt even tug hard enough to snap the tow rope, guess that means I wasnt trying.

Last week stopped to block traffic for a guy in a truck towing another truck out of the ditch, they were using a chain, the chain snapped, inspected the chain and the entire chain stretched and the links cold welded themselves straight.

I remember seeing a video somewhere of a 4x4 1st gen with the 4.3 pulled a old broke down deisel rig about 100ft on dirt out of a rut. Sure the truck was out of gear, but cool none the less.

Replaced left front hub today. Noise was getting pretty loud... Last hub replacement was over 100,000 miles ago. Did both at that time, even though only the left one was bad, and saved the one I took off the right side. Cleaned it up a bit, popped it into the left knuckle and it's nice and quiet. I love not spending money...
