since orielly did not have the intermediate pipe I need to fix the exhaust leak in stock, they had to order it from the warehouse, thankfully, I am close to said warehouse. It should be there at 10am. so I am going to fix it tomorrow or sunday, then it will be quiet again.
I like a loud truck, but not when its under your feet.

Noticed a loud screetching coming from my brakes, didnt sound normal so I took it in and found out my front passenger rotor has been gouged by my brake pad that got hung up and ate up my rotor and ruined the caliper...yippie 500 bucks for 2 new rotors, 2 caliper2 and new pads for the front.

Well right around 350 for parts alone from Autozone, plus I would have to buy myself the remaining tools and jack and stands PLUS I got ticketed for even changing my oil in my complex. So I figure it would about even out... If I had my own garage and a place to store tools I would do it myself :\

Gotcha, seems crazy though, Calipers for the first gen were 16 bucks per, 25-30 for rotors, then about 40-50 for pads for the decent ones..
Not bustin your *****, just curious.

Default 4.3L vortec plenum and valve cover project

today I took my passenger side valve cover off clean it and painted it. I did the same with the plenum. I did the plenum cover about 2 months ago. I have had a problem getting the driver side valve cover off though. there is a metal bracket that acts as a light alternator support. its the only thing in the way of getting my valve cover out! the problem is that it wraps around to the lower part of the engine and helps support the power steering or something. I cant get the bracket off. does anyone know how to get this bracket off without cutting it in half with tourch? some pics of today's work....
