what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
Contacted Walboro about my barely used FRB-13 fuel pump. These guys are GREAT - excellent customer service there. Spoke to an engineer and discussed any possible way it could be doing what it's doing (buzzing instead of pumping - it's a reciprocating pump). He was surprised to hear of any problems - I guess these are typically good for 6 - 8,000 hours! Figures I get the bum one.
So, on his suggestion, I rechecked my power & ground, and I also put the pump direct on a battery. Buzzzzzzzzzzz . NFG ...
Called back and spoke to another guy who told me to send it to him, and they'll get it straightened out. Sweeeeet.
Now just waiting for it to come back.
Blazer is normally only used in winter, so not a big deal ... but I do use it as a tractor every now and then. I need to move some coal around! 4-low pulls some serious tonnage.

LOL! I think it might be the weird camera angle I've got there. The pump is on the tailgate of my truck, so my feet are 3' below that. It's still a good sized pump though. Fits inside the "C" of the frame rail with room to spare.
Thing has a 1,000 hour salt spray rating. Exactly what I needed for a winter truck. We drove it winter of '12 for a couple months, and it's been sitting ever since ... and not ONE speck of corrosion ANYWHERE on this thing. It's amazing.
If only GM would build cars this way .....

I have been doing some odd and end things on it lately like putting the exhaust back on.I cut a hole in the floor board so I didnt have to lower the transmission again to install the lines. While cutting
a hole I cut my wiring harness ,the part that plugs into the transmission some I stripped all the ends of the wires and wired it back together.
Went out today, and found 2 Really freaking nice tires for $50 mounted for both. friend at a tire shop also is trading me a tire i need for one i have, for even trade+ $10. i found a almost new one last week for 25.
so for 85 total in 4 nice tires. Not too freakin bad. Now to go pay a darn seatbelt ticket...

Fuel pump! I had it on the shelf in the shop with the idea that if I had it I would never need it....WRONG!!! Broke everything pulling the tank out! Clamps, pump fittings and bolts. 2 1/2 hours of my life gone! I blame myself...a buddy and I were BSing 3 DAYS AGO and I mentioned I still had the original pump in my Blazer. No $#!t it probably failed as the words came out of my mouth! Starts quick, idles smoother and doesn't stutter anymore though.
