Hey everyone i got a question. I found out that when i get Dale back that they wont have a grille guard in stock because its "backordered" from the supplier they use and thus Dale will be minus a grille guard. My question to you all is this, should i wait till they get it in and have them put it on and all, or since they have an official price of $450 for it should i have them refund that out of my deductable and get the hunter offroad one off ebay for $239? I know this sounds like a no brainer but i really like my waag and how it was put together and im not too sure on the hunter because ive never used them before. The construction looks similiar and it appears strong plus i even like the raised hoop section in the middle. Im just not sure how i will like it strength and appearance wise. One of the things i really liked about the waag though is you could undo 2 bolts and swing open the headlight protection area to get at the headlights where the hunter doesnt look like it does that. At any rate i have to make a decision by tonight because im picking it up tomorrow. Any suggestions?

I know on my Westin, the headlight protectors are removable, so the Hunter probably is too... They don't swing out on mine, they just come completely out...

Though, until my crazy lady ditch incident, I didn't need to take them out, since there was room enough between the guard and the front of the truck for the light to come out...

Hmmmm, interesting. On the waag it wasnt exactly possible to get the whole assembly out but i could probably have gotten the bulb out. Either way it was a nice feature to have. I'm starting to lean towards the hunter but its still up in the air.

You may have a good point there. Im just not sure. What i just noticed though that is swaying my decision toward them is that they have one of my local chevy dealers that i have alot of respect for as a supporter of their product (bill heard chevy).

The Westin and the Hunter look exactly the same... The only difference is the "Westin" sticker on the front of mine, lol.

I would've gone with the Hunter for mine, most likely, but the shipping an duty would've made it more expensive than the Westin for me, so I went with that... It's been goot to me so far!

See if that dealership sells them, if so, it'll be a lot easier...

Cool i may just run down there and get that from them......oh wait i dont have a day off this coming week, S#$%. I'm thinking since its free shipping i may just go for it EBAY_LINK Im still gonna think it over cuz i still got time to but the hunter is making itself a really good argument.

I would go with the hunter one, thats the one I have been looking at getting. It is cheap, looks great and very solid, it does have removable headlight sections so u should be able to remove the headlight. Plus it has for sure 2 sets of locations for easy light mounting (middle and lower bar, probably could get some on the top bar too)

If you plan to do any sort of wheeling, the lights on the lower bar are kinda useless... Unless they're high quality and very, very sealed, lol.
