I see the bar mount nicely to the dual headlight blazers but does it mount to the older, single headlight 95-96 Blazers? I own a 96 four door and want to mount a bar on the front but have had a hard time finding one.

actually shligger, the first series of the 2nd gen Blazer's (single/composite HL) ran from '95 through to '97.

and the bumpers are different......so the kits for the '95/'96/'97 trucks mount up differently. there have been a few members who have used the '98+ bars on their '95 to '97 trucks, and from what i remember, they didn't have to big of an issue making it work.

I guess I am leery. The amount of '95-'97 bars available is limited where as the '98+ selection is large. I noticed some of the '98+ kits mounted onto the newer mounting hooks that replaced the toe hooks.

Does anyone here have suggestions for a sturdy ram bar for a '95-'97 series Blazer? I want something that will be sturdy enough to take a deer. My grill is cracked from my first encounter and I want to protect it the next time around.

I'm wrong. I saw something like a mounting hook/plow mount on bigger trucks but not on the Blazer. Those kits would mount the bottom of the push bar to the hooks and the top to the grill.

mines from a nissan, auto shop teach in high school came to me and asked if i wanted it, he said, if you can make brackets for it to work on the blazer you can have it. that was my test. haha
nice anodized black aluminum so light and no rust, bolted under the bumper to the frame on each side and between the bumper and the grill to the frame on each side to with plate metal i cut with the plasma cutter, its solid

Does it seem like Chris pays attention & knows his chit? lol <--- starting to sound like Kyle lmao all good
Mine is an online buy, can't remember for the beer of me who makes it but it looks good & took care of Jon backing into me while pulling him out, so it's worth it lol
Though I'd love to have a bolt to frame version instead. Mine is bolted to the bumper at the frame rails, still strong but not the same IMHO.
