Where are YOU from?
Im originally from Augusta, GA but spent my growing years of my life in Sarasota Flordia, actully where I met and marryied my wife, Use to race a mazda 626, when I had my first child, It was decided that we had to have a SUV so we ended up with my 96 blazer, because it was easy to work on, and affordable and now Im hooked I blazer all the way. I want o getso much stuff done to mine and already have plans on getting one and going totally the other way with it. I have a street rod my 96 and I have my 98 on 22's, tinted windows, halo light, and all the chrome on the front you could want. But like I said I want one to make into an offroad truck and start going to these places that have all this cool stuff to do it looks like alot of fun but not with my 98.
Japanese blazers, don't they look different than the American ones?
Just for starters - Jap Blazers have fender flares, power fold side mirrors, e-brake / gear selector in centre console & most importantly the steering wheel is . . . . LOL
And ktg454, there's a couple of Blazers running around in NSW & QLD. Probably 5 or 6 are registered on this forum. They PM me when they need parts. The RHD bits are difficult to source in Aussie but a bit easier here as we got maybe 2 or 3,000 from Japan. Most RHD parts (new) are very difficult to source as GM shut the New Jersey plant where they were built & I believe they trashed all stock, dies, moulds etc. Here we are reliant on used parts & have a Chevy specialist who buys Blazers from auctions & wrecks for the used parts market. (Bunce Motors in Auckland).
PM me if you need help.
