Somebody know this ?

Sorry for the newby question but im planning to buy one but i want the one with the strongest axles to put big tires for offroading:icon_pirate: (11.00r16 mischelin military tires)

pre 91 chevy k30s im not quite sure how far back they go but anything from the early 80s to 91 will have them. they get kinda pricey i got lucky and found mine with the rotted out turd truck still attached for $800

not quite sure about the ford models also, but some of those come with a dana 60 front.

The only K5's that came with this combo were the military versions that did have the 1-ton running gear (Dana 60 front / 14-bolt FF rear). They are referred to as the M1009 CUCV.

14BFF axles out from under a 1-ton truck will require movement of the spring perches due to the position of the leaf springs on those chassis. If you find a 14BFF out of a 3/4 ton pickup, it will bolt right in. 3/4 ton pickups of the era had HD 10-bolts or Dana 44's though so don't get fooled by the 8-lug outers.
