Hey guy's I have a 3000lb winch and am wondering is it better to mount front or rear my ride is a 2002 4door blazer, I was leaning more towards a rear mount but not sure if that's the best idea would like to hear from and see pics of both rear and front mount winches.. thanks mike

What do you plan on winching with it? A 3k lb is not big enough if you plan to use it for recovering your stuck blazer. You need 8k lb at least or you will burn up the winch on the first pull.

am looking at 4wheelers nothing big will eventually look at a big one for the real pulling but for now just recreational stuff

Oh alright that's why I asked
. I'd mount it up front if you have a tab chances are you have a trailer to haul it so mounting it in back would get in the way. Or you could get a front receiver hitch and a hitch mount for the winch and be able to use it in front or back!

thanks I was wondering about a receiver hitch for the front that is the way i think I will go, seems the most practical way to go..
