Long story short... my 00 ZR2 blew the trans and I don't have the 800 bucks the trans shop wants to rebuild it...again, so I put it on Craigslist as a trade for another vehicle.

A guy just called asking if I'd trade mine for his 94 4 door 4x4 with a 3" lift kit, 31" tires (he'd want to keep his tires, and I'd keep mine, no big deal) 160K miles and a new trans tossed in at about 120K (so only 40K miles old)

Once he sends over the pictures, I'll post them up here, but I'm thinking that if the truck runs well and doesn't look too awful, I may go for it. What do you guys think?

 

learn from my experience, trading, only puts you in a deeper pile of doodoo. Atleast it did for me.

 

You are in that pile because you don't like the standard cabs thought right? I prefer 2 door, but don't mind 4 door... especially if it runs, haha.

That 94 looks cool, but keep your ZR2 and shop around for transmission prices. You can also check wrecking yards or Craigslist for used transmission for cheaper.

 

that 94 is hot but dont know id keep your old one because its newer and you just got ur trans rebuild t again . I dont think it should go after a 2nd rebuild

 

Personally I would stick with the ZR2 i like the looks of the ZR2 better. If you don't mind the work of finding a used tranny from a pull a part and putting it in then keep the ZR2

 

I would trade......because I like that body style.
