General Chat Chat about all things Blazer (and related vehicles). Off-topic stuff should be in the lounge, and all mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

Would you make this trade?

IMO it seems a lil shady... why does he want to trade his? it seems to me you would be getting the better deal..unless he's hiding something... idk maybe i'm being a worry wart.
I just LOVE Zs and not sure if i would take the risk of going down to a 1st gen...

Talked to him a bit more today and am less thrilled about what I heard. Drivers seat piping (vinyl trim around the edge of the seat with plastic in it) is ripped up, there's a couple dings in the headliner, and the dash has a "small" crack in it. I'm not taking this deal...

Talked to my buddy about the loan and now feel like a POS. He doesn't want to "loan" me the money to fix the trans... he wants to GIVE me the money. I told him hell no, that I can swallow my pride enough to ask for a loan, but I can't accept a gift of 800 bucks.

So he's loaning me the cash on a "no interest, pay it back whenever" deal which makes me slightly less POS-feeling, but not much.

Either way, I'll have my truck back soon.

Yup, upgraded trans stuff and an external cooler going in... oh and I'm not going to go mudding until the loan is paid off and I have plenty of cash in the bank to redo stuff if it breaks again, lol.

Thanks for all of the opinions guys!

Ya know, maybe ATVs are a good thing for my larda** to look into... lol

When I say "mudding" I typically mean offroading in general. However, if I come across some mud, I'm usually not opposed to find out (the hard way) how deep it is. Provided I have a buddy and a tow rope... found out the hard way too many times that wheeling alone/without a strap is a bad idea.

I think a couple of those and a trailer is going to be a good plan for me.
