Zr2 sway bars
Im in the middle of a front end rebuild on a 2001 ZR2 Blazer. Picked up a 14pc suspension rebuild kit at autoshack.com. Which included two sway bar links. Where do those go? Do some ZR2s not have sway bars? Ive had my front axles apart many times and changed my suspension all around but I haven’t seen a sway bar anywhere. Im at a roadblock with my rebuild for a couple days and figured i would at least get these done. Can’t find anything online. Help please

To my knowledge every ZR2 came with sway bars. Mine has them front and back. Every other ZR2 I've seen has them.
If yours doesn't I would guess the previous owner removed it. Not uncommon a practice as removing the sway bar gives more flex offroad leading to more tire on the ground when playing.

This is my front passenger side. Also a couple pics of the front and back height. It has 31in tires on it and they don’t rub at all.
I had to get a longer cv axle and different outer tie rods because the ones I had ordered with my vin weren’t the right ones. So I’m assuming it has at the least a ZR2 front end. Also had to get a new sway bar as the previous owner had taken them off.

You have found out about SPOTS Stupid Previous Owner Tricks. He removed the the sway bar to get more articulation for four wheeling. If you're going to drive on the road but not extensively off road it I would put in back to stock.

I put them on. I snagged them off a wreck. I’m wondering about the model now. I ran the vin through the decoder and it shows a bunch of zr2 options but nothing about it being a zr2. Has been really hard getting the right parts. Ended up with the wrong ones a few times already.

Look at the RPO codes in the glove box. Unless it too has been swapped out by the previous owner :P it will have the 3 digit code that literally says ZR2 if it is indeed a ZR2 model
Judging by your photos, that appears to be a true ZR2, but anyone can slap the flares on their 4x4 2 door LS and lift it a little to fit 31's (I run 31's on my 4 door LS with only torsion bar lift up front)
In the ZR2 package, the front suspension is taller because of how the components actually mount to the frame, and if I'm not mistaken a tad wider than a typical LS 4x4 too, so that explains why some of the parts for a non-ZR2 wouldn't fit

Ive already put $1200 in parts and over 100 hours of wrenching into it. Would this be something a previous owner did or factory? Would it be easier to just keep going as is or put it all back to stock. Seems like there is more to change that just those few parts I mentioned. There is no way the ones I ordered would have fit without changing the a arms.
