Default 93 chevy blazer s-10

Hi! I'm new at this in more ways than one. I'm no mechanic but learning. I have a 93 blazer I'm pretty sure that the fuel pump is dead. The engine cranks fine but will not start. There is no more humming sound comming from fuel pump, now I am wondering if the fuel filter is clogged, would the fuel pump work or not (humming noise)? The vehicle was given to me by a friend and it was running very well. Also has anyone heard of a fuel pump fuse in the engine compartment not the one inside under dash on driver's side and you have where is it?

Thank You.

just shooting into the dark here, but i would think you would still hear the noise even if the fuel filter was clogged. I would go to an auto parts store, pick up a fuel filter just to see if thats the problem. I am guessing that it is the fuel pump, but a fuel filter is much cheaper so its worth a try.

Probably already done it, but if you haven't, check the integrity of your electrical connections to your fuel system.

Mine did that one day. Got to work, went to make the bank deposit and it quit at a stop light. Luckily a friend of mine with the police department came by and helped me push it out of the road and take me to the bank. LOL

Stand by the gas tank and have someone turn the key to on. The fuel pump should prime for about 2 seconds, if not, it's dead. Unfortunately for my brother (who changed it), I had a FULL tank of gas.

When you change the fuel pump, change the filter too.
