code 43
I have a 1995 S10 Blazer 4X4. I have a code 43, which is the electroic spark control. I'm not sure what part I need to change, or if there is even a part to replace.....help in south alabama..
I hope this helps, but i think what you are looking for is the little module next to the coil, it is called the ignition coil driver module. Here is some information to check it with a Digital Volt Meter:
1. Disconnect the ignition coil driver module connector.
Turn the Ignition ON.
With a DVM, check voltage on terminals A (pink wire) and D (white/black wire) to ground. [10 Volts]
Do both terminals measure above the specified value?
2. Connect a DVM on the AC scale to the ignition coil driver module connector terminal B (white wire) and ground.
Crank the engine and observe the voltage.
Is the voltage between the specified values? [1-4 V]
Probe the ignition coil driver module connector terminal C (black wire) with test light to Battery+.
Does the test light light up?
