Anyone know where this switch is so I can replace it? Hope it is not inside the transmisson!
Truck still works normally, so do I really need to fix it?

The pressure switch is mounted on the valve body.
Check the trans fluid level, first.
is your fluid clean? It could be as simple as a sticking valve.

Oil is clean and at the correct level. I had engine oil and filter changed 1000kms ago.
Is the valve body inside the transmission housing so the transmission oil pan has to be removed to access the switch? Stone gards will also have to be removed.

You should check to be sure, as I don't have a manual for a 96, but the newer Blazers have the switch inside the transmission. You would have to drop the trans pan, (might as well replace the filter while you're in there). Then you should be able to see the switch on the valve body. I don't believe you have to remove the valve body.

Transmission shop says they have to go in to the tranny and fix a valve as it controls the lock up. It will take 2 hours and parts they have in stock.
They say it is common but I could not find any posts on it. Curious!
