Default ignition key

Hello forum,

I have a 1997 Blazer. When I turn ignition off I sometimes cannot remove the key.
This problem seems to be happening more frequently. It happens when I am parked
on level ground and on slopes. I have auto trans with floor shift and when I work
with the shifter I am usually successful at removing the key. Can anyone help?

Thank You,
needinfo

Default RE: ignition key

It's probably the park lock cable is not adjusted properly.
Unfortunately I can't tell you how to adjust it at this time. Maybe someone else on this forum knows.

BTW interesting screen name and welcome to the forum.

I have a friend at a Chevy dealership so I'll forward him this post. He'll be able to give a bit of a hand. But Chevy Lover is probably right... sounds like that cable is a little off.... Do you work on it yourself or do you bring it somewhere?
