Default Irratic guages.

My guages are inaccurate. When I turn on the headlights the oil pressure drops to Zero, The temp shoots up to 260, I lose 1/4 tank of fuel and my voltage drops to 9. with the headlights off my check guages light flickers at idle due to my oil pressure being right at the threshold, like 10 psi or somewhere close to that. I think it's a ground problem but is there a way to check my oil pressure to make sure its not that low? and where should I start with the guages?

I found the problem... It was a ground wire located under the the dash right next to where the parking brake pedal rest when it is disengaged. The bolt was so loose I could get a couple of turns with my fingers. I found it when I had the dash apart, instaling wiring for my new stereo system.

Same here.

I also have a '87 S10-Blazer with a 2putt8 engine. Althouhg mine has a rebuilt motor with 35,000 miles on it, and a rebuilt tranny with 1,000 miles on it. I just finished replacing the rear brakes, and I did the fronts 4 months ago.
